This issue's cover: Four sets of double-ring infiltrometers with different diameters (only inner-rings and nested rings are shown here) are used to measure the field saturated hydraulic conductivity. The objective of the research is to evaluate the effect of measurement size on the soil hydraulic conductivity. This figure vividly exhibits the infiltrometers used in the experiment and also shows clearly the difference of measurement size. The image on the left represents a soil profile near one of the experimental sites. Please see p.1667–1675, “Assessing the Size Dependency of Measured Hydraulic Conductivity Using Double-Ring Infiltrometers and Numerical Simulation” by Jianbin Lai and Li Ren.
