Three columns were used for each soil layer, except for Site B (40–50 cm), where two columns were used. The solid lines represent the CDE model adjusted to the Br and F breakthrough curves. The CLT model is not represented but is nearly indistinguishable from the CDE model. Two F breakthrough curves are presented for Site C (20–40 cm) to show the strong variation of F retention observed in different columns of that soil layer. No F was detected in the effluent of the columns of Sites A, B, and D.
