ABSTRACT
Two equations are evaluated in relation to their suitability as rate equations for phosphorus sorption by selected Oklahoma soils. The rate equation which best fits experimental data was
S/
t = aCbSc where S is the sorbed concentration [mass per unit weight of the soils], C is solution concentration [mass per unit weight of the solution], t is time and a, b, and c are constants.
