Rapid Measurement of Chlorine in Plant Materials1

ABSTRACT

Chlorine is extracted from ground plant material with acid and an aliquot titrated directly with an automatic chloride titrator. One technician can perform approximately 100 analyses per day with a standard deviation of approximately 0.01% Cl.
