Confounding the Triple Cube Response Surface Design to Reduce Block Size1

ABSTRACT

Modification of the composite response surface designs, called cube designs, have been effected by experimenters but result in large block size. Procedures are given for block size reduction. The confounding procedure is shown for the triple cube and the resulting analysis of variance structure and inverse matrix are given.
