Problems in Tomato Production for the Canning Industry1

ABSTRACT

A survey of the tomato producing of soils in eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey reveal that lime is needed on a large percentage of the fields. The growers need information on the selection of land for tomatoes and information on the fertilization of this crop.
