ABSTRACT
Chestnut or Chernozem soils may occur in close association with Regosols, solonetzic soils and Calcium Carbonate Solonchaks, the Chernozems occurring in the moister northeastern portion. The morphology of these soils is discussed and some physical and chemical data are presented.
